
Please adhere to club rules while shooting.
Club Rules
- Archery GB Safety Rules must be adhered to at all times.
- The Club’s training equipment is for the use by beginner’s and should not be used by anyone else unless
authorised by a member of the Executive Committee or a Coach. - Anyone who damages equipment owned by another Archer or the Club, due to negligence will be liable for the
damage and will be expected to pay for it. - Club subscriptions will be kept up to date.
- Archers will stay on the same target/boss for the duration of the shooting session unless with good reason.
- No one is permitted to walk or stand between the shooting line and the waiting line except for Coach’s and the
Field Captain/Safety Officer. - All members are requested to assist with the setting up and putting away of Club equipment.
- All junior members must be accompanied by an adult whilst attending the Club.
- Any Archer who losses an arrow and does NOT report it will be subject to a fine for the first offence, any
further offences will result in immediate dismissal from the Club. - All Archers should check their own equipment before its use as the Club will NOT accept liability for any
injuries. - The Club will not be liable for any equipment bought or sold at Club venues or shooting sessions.
- Threatening and abusive behaviour will NOT be tolerated.
- Archers should not put arrows onto their bows before taking position on the shooting line.
- All Members are asked to follow the G.N.A.S. Rules of Etiquette whilst at or outside the Club.
- A small hire charge will be made to new members who require the continued use of Club equipment after the
first 1 month of their membership. Once this month has expired, a fee of £5.00 will be applied per bow. If the
bow is required for beginners to use , then this takes priority.
Archery GB Rules of Etiquette
- Does not talk in a loud voice whilst others are shooting.
- Does not talk to another competitor who obviously prefers to be silent.
- Does not make exclamation on the shooting line which might disconcert a neighbour in the act of shooting.
- Does not go behind the target to retrieve his/her arrows before his/her score has been recorded.
- Does not walk up and down the shooting line comparing scores.
- Does not touch anyone else’s equipment without permission.
- When calling scores does so in groups of three, example “7-7-5” pause “5-5-3”.
- If he breaks another’s arrow through his/her own carelessness, pays for it in cash on the spot.
- Thanks the Target Captain at the end of each round for work on his/her behalf.
